Meet Robert McBay
Robert McBay is a New Jersey native who began learning the many styles of dance through workshops and programs at the age of 7. At the age of 12, he started classical training in ballet, lyrical, modern, jazz, and hip hop at Anita Ehrler’s Dance Extensions. While taking classes, he was then admitted into the competition company that competed both regionally and nationally throughout the east coast. After graduating from the dance school, he then began choreographing for upcoming artist Lea Robinson, who is the granddaughter of the Sugar Hill Gang family, also referred to as the “granddaughter of hip hop”. He has done numerous tours and shows with her throughout the east coast and is still choreographing for her today. During the summer of 2013 he was able to choreograph a play for the performing arts camp at the Inge Lake school, where he worked with children of all ages. Along with that, he has recently been choreographing concept videos with dance crews for several projects. His choreography ranges from competition dance to the live performance and music video styles. Robert wishes to grow and expand his mind as a choreographer and also wishes to see nothing but growth and exceptional improvement in his students.
